I accept.

Greatest google search leading people to my blog EVER:

"As a form of apology, I would like to buy you lunch."

Hey, whoever you are, I accept! And they said there was no such thing as a free lunch. ;) (Psst...depending on exactly what you're apologizing for, you might want to also bring me flowers. No carnations or baby's breath, please.)

I'd much rather have lunch purchased for me than tell someone where to bring their dead pet, or discuss children being left in vans at daycares in North Carolina, wouldn't you?

I've had one heckuva busy day, and my brain is basically fried, so I will just quickly ask, have any of you watched that Lifetime show "Gay, Straight or Taken"? I have seen it exactly twice, and both times I have correctly pegged the guys within the first two minutes of the show. Am I particularly astute, or is it just that easy?

What's wrong with Carnations? They may be cheap, but they're hearty!

Lunch would be a lovely way to apologize. Or a baked good left on my desk. Or a peanut butter cup...Seeing a theme, here?

3car, I guess carnations aren't my favorite (other than YOU, of course) because they tend to be overused (along with baby's breath, leather leaf and mums). I do like the way they smell, though. And now you've got me craving a peanut butter cup!

Free lunch is always a good thing in my books! Plus an apology? Even better!

Oh, free lunch. Yummy. I bought someone else's lunch today, so she got the free lunch.

Hmmm. I wonder who I can guilt into buying ME lunch. haha

I'm not a carnations fan, either (sorry, 3car!) for the exact same reasons. Besides, daffodils are my bag, baby.

Add me to the "not a fan of Carnations" camp (present company called 3Carnations excluded, of course... I'm talking the flowers, not the blogger). :-)

My favorite search engine hit on my blog this week was "Deep fried Wikipedia." I mentioned that in my last post and no one commented on it, but it still makes me laugh, even days later. (I am easily amused like that.)

Speckled carnations are actually my favorite flower. Believe it or not, we used them in our wedding bouquet. We were probably the only people in the world to choose carnations as our wedding flower, but they're my favorite.

Roses die so quickly...

...and thanks to everyone for clarifying that your dislike for carnations is not a personal attack. ;)

stinkypaw, ain't it the truth.

dcmm, I love daffodils, too. They're so cheery--and when I see them, I know spring's on the way.

stef, that IS funny. It would only be funnier if it were "deep fried Wikipedia ON A STICK." That's my favorite thing about the state fair--everything deep-fried is on a stick.

Last summer, I was honored when someone Googled "how do I get gum out of my vagina" and found my blog. *beam* My parents are SO proud!

3car, diversity is a wonderful thing. Carnations, roses...there's a flower for everybody!

mymsie, oh my! That IS reason to be proud. ;)

I think it's the theatre background that increases your astute gaydar.

:)

I just got a call while posting this. Guess what? I AM GETTING A FREE LUNCH! the office is buying!

whoot!

(not that I'm blogging while working *cough* )

paisley, I'm SURE that helps! What surprised me was that I pegged the "taken" guys so easily. The key, I think, for those playing at home--they're trying to hard to seem single.

Sounds like you have finely tuned "gay-dar".

My question: What did they do to warrant the need for an apology lunch? I know you can't answer that for me, but still. My mind, it races.
