Quickie update

The new (very flattering) profile picture seems to be bringing them out in droves. I'm currently involved in some level of "communication" with 5 different guys, from 4 different dating websites. They can't ALL be losers, can they? (Don't answer that!)

Maybe they'll all be so great you'll have trouble choosing. :-)

Let's hope that at least 1 out of 5 guys is worth at least a second date.

Well, one has already been taken from the running. I do appreciate his honesty in letting me know he's married BEFORE we made a date.

Is it the same picture as your Facebook pic? If so, it IS a lovely one! :-)

I was out with a friend on Saturday, and I noticed that the guy who was clearly very ambitiously hitting on her was wearing a wedding ring. I casually asked, "So where's your wife tonight? Is she out with you too?" I'm sorry, dude, but if you're going to pretend you're not married, maybe leave the wedding ring at home? Sheesh. He's probably on a dating site too. Ugh.

That said, good luck!! :-)

Wow, that was very kind of him to let you know he has a wife before you met him. WTH is wrong with these guys? I guess they are able to find women who will agree to go out with them even if they're married or they wouldn't be on there in the first place though.

When I was doing the online dating thing, I also appreciated that one guy informed me in our first (and last) conversation that he goes to AA meetings 3 times a week and he lives with his parents because his parents have custody of his 3 young children since he's an alcoholic and his ex-wife is in prison. I'm glad he's getting help for his problem, but after being married to an alcoholic I ran as fast as I could! Of course I would have run even if I had never been married to an alcoholic.

Apparently, his wife has health issues that preclude physical intimacy. He told me his full name, so I suppose it's possible that he has her "blessing," so to speak. But, like I told him, "no judgment, just not what I'm looking for." I suppose he gets some points for not divorcing her feeble self, like John McCain did HIS first wife. ;)

Yikes, his explanation makes it so much worse. "I'm not really interested in anything serious because I'm already married, but I do need someone other than my wife for sex." How on earth does he think that makes him seem like less of a creep?
