Greater like has no woman.

Yesterday I did something for my man that no woman should ever have to do.

I tried on and purchased a swimsuit. Hee!

Hot Med is very excited about the pool in his new apartment complex, and insisted that we had to go swimming earlier this week. I said I would only agree to do that in the evenings, as I rather assiduously avoid the sun in these, my later, wiser years, and that I would have to see if I could find an old swimsuit. He had no problem with the restriction, so I looked to see if I still owned a suit. I did...but just barely. It was too small, but so old and stretched out that it still actually kind of "fit," but it was so threadbare in spots that I was forced to wear a tank top over it in the interest of public decency. "Take off shirt!" "NO!!!!" I promised that I would buy a decent suit at the next opportunity, and that was yesterday. Thank goodness Target has a decent selection of comfortable swimsuits for those of us not young and bikini-ready. And yay for boy short bottoms!

And that's probably the most exciting thing I've done in the past few days. My life has been more or less on an even keel...which doesn't make for good blogging, but which is kind of nice, for a change. I'm sure something "interesting" will happen soon. Heh.

How I wish for "cruising altitude"...

Enjoy your time in the pool!

Really? You found a suit at Target? Despite my usual endorsement for all things Target, swimsuits are one thing I can NOT buy there. I've tried, and they never have enough structure or support for the, er, girls.

I got a swimsuit from Lands End (clearance). First one ever I have loved - Tankini. Love the boy shorts, indeed.

stef, it's not super-structured up top, but my "girls" aren't that...in need of support, sadly. ;)

I'm not a fan of boy shorts, but I love the tankini. I don't know what possessed me to buy the white one, but still, the basic idea is sound.

I ended up buying my swimsuit from Junovia - plus sized. I look like a giant blueberry but it's shaped like a scuba suit - no excess skin escapes and I don't have to worry about the disaster that is my upper thighs being exposed.

Swimming is fun.

I have a cute one from Marshall's that has support and a tiny little skirt over the boy shorts. Fun!

i don't want to even think about purchasing a "portly and wide" bathing suit for myself.

so glad to hear about the new dude. Sorry, I've been away far too long.

I don't think I've worn a bathing suit in at least 6 years. I have no plans to ruin that running record either. Even when I go to Brazil. It would be too disturbing to an entire foreign country.
