If I ever have kids with him (in 15-20 years, when I'm ready) I'd be sad because his dad died, and that means there are only 3 potential grandparents. I've only got one grandparent left, and he's the only one I never liked.Noellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11567505547323976582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34298967.post-28172822871431454702007-04-03T12:13:00.000-06:002007-04-03T12:13:00.000-06:00Oh, so many amusing tidbits in there... that was a...Oh, so many amusing tidbits in there... that was a sweet post.

As for the first bit, about not having children, there's this great part in "Eat Pray Love" about how there are lots of reasons for having children, and not all of them are unselfish, and how there are lots of reasons for NOT having children, and not all of them are selfish. There's more (and I just typed and deleted some of the "more"), but it's too much to rattle on about in a blog comment. Suffice it to say I think you'd like that part (and, hell, the whole book in general). :-)Stefaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10128238432671375399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34298967.post-71749729083197277062007-04-03T10:39:00.000-06:002007-04-03T10:39:00.000-06:00Very sweet. When I returned to my hometown for my Grandpa's (on my mom's side) funeral, we did not stop to see my Grandma on my Dad's side. We figured we'd see her "next time". She died 5 months later. There was no next time. When we went there for HER funeral, we made sure to visit my Grandma on my mom's side, even though the timing to visit her during our short visit was "inconvenient". I wouldn't make the same mistake twice. Good thing we visited, because she passed away before I visited again.3carnationshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15942247215569463561noreply@blogger.com
